Your journey begins at the Mendes Ranch Corral, where you’ll be greeted by paniolos. Then, hop on your tame, gentle horse and follow your guides on a 1.5-hour trail ride!

8:45am Departure:
On your morning ride, canter up rolling pastures and down the edge of Waihee Valley to the coastline, where you’ll view the magnificent Pacific waters. Here, your guides will take photos of you with the majestic seascape in the background. You’ll then head back up to the corral.

11:30am or 12:15pm Departure:

You’ll be driven to the entrance of the hiking area, which was selected for its heavy concentration of waterfalls. Your guide will lead you along streams to three or more of these breathtaking cascades, some more than 40-feet (12-meters) high. While many tourists flock to Hana Highway area for its scenic beauty, your local guide knows the best vantage points for appreciating the falls on your 2.5-mile (4-kilometer) hike.

The waterfalls are breathtaking from land, but they’re even better up close. Wade into any of the pools under the falls—depending on the season, some are calm enough to pass beneath. With advice from the guide, adventurous types can climb up to the nearby columnar basalt ledges and jump 10- to 15- feet (3- to 4.5-meters) into the water below. After exploring the waterfalls by both land and water, enjoy a healthy lunch of your selection of sandwiches, chips, fresh island fruit, cookies and water. Meet in central Maui for the 2.5-hour drive down the famous Hana Highway, a scenic stretch of coastal road along the island’s east shore that crosses more than 50 bridges. During your trip, you’ll loop around eastern Maui to the trailhead, where you begin your full-day hike through Maui’s ultimate waterfall wonderland, an area that is still described as “old Hawaii.”

On a 4.5-mile excursion deep into Maui’s national park, you’ll adventure past a network of waterways and cascading waterfalls referred to as the “Seven Sacred Pools” due to its otherworldly beauty. Climb trails that cut through acres of towering bamboo and rich vegetation, and discover multiple waterfalls tucked deep into the forest, some measuring more than 400 feet (122 meters).
